Welcome to the
International Grade Horse Association
This organization was founded to give the average everyday horse a place to be recognized. These horses, and their owners, may feel left out of the world of the purebred horse, with their shows and point systems, and desire a home of their own. If this sounds like you, or your horse, look no further.
The Association is a rather ambitious attempt to compile a list of all grade horses in all countries. The list includes detailed information about each animal such as;
-name
-specific coloration and pattern
-height
-sex
-age
-primary use of the horse (work or pleasure or some combination)
-where stabled (on-site or off)
There is also owner information such as;
-name
-number in household
The Association is the best source of information on grade horses and their owners. It is also an up to date record of ownership at time of sale. The history of ownership is readily available to all members.
On this site members can:
-access ownership records of all other members (no contact information is given without permission)
-see photos of all members
-request contact information from members who have given permission
-post free classified ads
- write your own story to share with other members on the photos page
Above all, this is a place where owners of grade horses can compare and contrast their horses and lifestyles with other owners. You can request contact information from the IGHA and share your photos on the member photos page.
To become a member, either go to the forms page and download the application, or go to the online page and apply immediately. You can use the PayPal service to pay the fee. Upon acceptance to the IGHA, you will be given a password to access the member photos and classified pages. This password will be given only to paid members of the IGHA.
There is a renewal fee of $15.00 per year. The IGHA will send you (either by mail or email) a statement of renewal approximately 1 month prior to your renewal date. If you wish to remain a member, simply send back the form with your payment.
Remember, this is your site. It will continue to evolve and reflect the issues and personalities of all of you.
